Welcome to GloVANet
WoCoVA has grown in 10 years to much more than just a congress. In order to better organise the efforts and actions in the field of vascular access it was decided that there should be an overarching organisation to cover all activities that are nowadays executed. The Global Vascular Access Network (GloVANet) umbrella organisation was created with WoCoVA being the largest and most important activity. Other areas which can be found within GloVANet are Education & Training, Data & Research and Other Events and Projects.
GloVANet aims to be the worldwide network to enhance global awareness on vascular access and improve patient care.
Meet the Experts - China
The first ‘Meet the Experts’ session was successfully live-streamed on Saturday the 21st of May 2022 and specifically dedicated to China. An international speaker (Mauro Pittiruti) and a national speaker (Jia Li) presented and discussed current vascular access aspects in oncology. The presentations are in English with Chinese subtitles. The opening, closing and Q&A’s are also in English. WoCoVA
The biennial World Congress on Vascular Access (WoCoVA) is the global network event where professionals from around the world meet and share scientific knowledge and innovations on vascular access topics during the congress. The 9th WoCoVA took place 15 – 17 April 2026 in Valencia, Spain.
Save the date: the 10th WoCoVA will take place 5 – 7 April 2028 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Special Event
GloVANet / WoCoVA is hosting a Special Session on the 2nd of December 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This session is taking place during the 3-day GAVeCeLT congress that is taking place 1-3 December in Rome, Italy. WoCoVA’s special session, in collaboration with GAVeCeLT, will revolve around the most important topics from the 9th World Congress on Vascular Access (Valencia, Spain, 2026). GloVANet Academy Week
GloVANet is excited to announce that it has launched a “GloVANet Academy Week“!
GloVANet is organising its first Academy Week in which VA-specialists can follow hands-on courses given by experts in the field for 4 consecutive days. It will take place from Monday 8 to Thursday 11 March 2027 at the Corendon Hotel, Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport, The Netherlands. The programme consists of a total of 24 courses. For these courses there are 7 topics that will be given at multiple occasions during the week in order to ensure you can attend the largest variety of courses possible.
