Special event 2026

Every other year, WoCoVA organises its world-wide congress. But in between two of these congresses, WoCoVA organises Special Events, often organized in collaboration with a national society. Sometimes WoCoVA aims to reach out to a special part of the world. Special Events were organised in 2015 (Hong Kong), 2017 (Perth, Australia), 2019 (Saõ Paulo, Brazil) and 2023 (Toronto, Canada).

The next special event will take place on the 2nd of December 2026! This time it will be a “Special Session” in collaboration with GAVeCeLT. The special session will take place on the 2nd of December from 9 am to 1 pm in Rome, Italy. It will revolve around the most important topics from the 9th World Congress on Vascular Access (Valencia, Spain, 2026). These topics will be presented by VA-specialists who were present at the last WoCoVA.

The special session that WoCoVA hosts in collaboration with GAVeCeLT is included into the 3-day congress by GAVeCeLT that will take place from 1 to 3 December 2026 at the Auditorium del Massimo in Rome, Italy. The composition of the 3 days is as follows:

• 1st December: 5th Conference on PICC-port
• 2nd December: 14th GAVeCeLT Congress, including the WoCoVA Special Session
• 3rd December: 19th PICC Day
