Mission

GloVANet provides knowledge, tools, and education, based on the latest science and consensus, for all involved in vascular access, to have the best infusion technology for optimal patient care everywhere in the world.

GloVANet  is the organisation dedicated to advancing vascular access worldwide through education, collaboration, research, and innovation. The overview here below illustrates all activities that GloVANet encompasses. These components together make it possible to work towards GloVANet’s mission.

The main activity of GloVANet is the World Congress on Vascular Access (WoCoVA) and the 10th edition will take place from 5–7 April 2028 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This multidisciplinary and multi-professional scientific event, with presentations on all aspects of vascular access, is a congress you do not want to miss. Save the dates in your agenda!

Next to WoCoVA, GloVANet has established a global committee which acts as an intermediate between WoCoVA and everyone involved in the field of VA in their country. On the other hand, GloVANet continues to establish friendship agreements with national VA societies in order to support and increase interconnectedness. Additionally, WoCoVA holds special events in between its world congresses. These events are often organised in collaboration with a VA society.

Furthermore, when it comes to education and research, GloVANet/WoCoVA has held a WoCoVA ‘Meet the Experts’ in which experts gave online presentations on important topics regarding VA (these sessions are available for you to watch by clicking here). The ‘GloVANet Knowledge Hub’, the ‘GloVANet Academy’ and the ‘GloVANet Research Platform’ are three other initiatives that fall under this category. Currently these are being constructed, but as soon as possible we will provide more information.

The GloVANet Fund exists to raise money with which GloVANet can invite VA specialists from lower-income countries to come to a WoCoVA.
