Committees

WoCoVA has a compact organisational structure, which improves decision-making. There are 2 international committees, the Scientific Committee and the Global Committee, both with its own remit.

Scientific Committee

The Scientific Committee, chaired by Mauro Pittiruti (IT), has as its main responsibility, the selection of topics and speakers for the biennial WoCoVA congresses. Its members have extensive knowledge and experience in the field of vascular access which allows them to fulfill their tasks in this committee.

Global Committee

The Global committee is a permanent group of representatives of countries from all over the world and is chaired by Josie Stone (US). They act as an intermediate between WoCoVA and everyone involved in the field of VA in their country. This, to further improve the knowledge and clinical practice. WoCoVA is also striving to establish and support national vascular access societies in all countries of the world, Global Committee members play an important role in executing this.
