Prof. Evangelos Konstantinou (48, married and father of three) is currently a Professor of Nurse Anesthesiology in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is the Head of Vascular Access Laboratory in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece and the Head of Vascular Access Laboratory in Evgenidion University Hospital. He has 70 publications in indexed journals. He has presented his work in more than 200 National and International conferences.
For the last seven years he has been the Head of the Minimal Invasive Vascular Access Unit, which is part of the Department of Surgery of the Faculty of Nursing at Agioi Anargiroi Oncology Hospital, Athens, Greece. In the Unit he deals with patients that require the placement of Vascular Access devices, such as Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs), Picc Ports, Chest Ports, Chronic Dialysis catheters, Acute Dialysis catheters and Centrally Inserted Central Catheters (CICCs), under ultrasound and ECG guidance.
Throughout his career, he trained nurses and physicians in the field of Vascular Access, in Greece as well as abroad.
